Zana Maksimovic Vaughan, Ontario, Canada My introduction to CTWorkshop started with a bang in the summer of 2006 when my then 8-year old son went to icamp for a week and immediately pleaded for a second icamp week right after! As I got even more involved with my children’s education, I assisted teachers, contributed time to school council and continued to read books and articles on different modes of learning and the importance of engaging both hemispheres in the learning process. I found myself constantly thinking about different methods of teaching delivery and the ways of engaging children in the classroom. I was bubbling with energy that had no outlet. At the same time, after almost 18 years in the IT and Project Management fields, I felt it was time for something new. The CTWorkshop franchise seemed more and more like the perfect vehicle for both engaging children in innovative, interactive ways and also satisfying my desire to be involved with my own children’s education on a daily basis. As my husband Marc Leith explored this opportunity with me, he realized there are things he could contribute to the CTWorkshop: Marc is not only a big kid at heart who loves playing with technological toys, but also an accomplished IT professional and consultant with a wealth of knowledge in computer management and software development. We are very excited to be offering the wonderful CTWorkshop fun, learning activities to the children of Vaughan, King City and northern York Region, and looking forward to getting engaged in our community even more.
